BGI's mission is the integrated and sustainable management of its customers' road infrastructures, with the objective of maximizing the performance of assets throughout their life cycle, optimizing their availability and cost, and guaranteeing, on the other hand, compliance , security and risk management.

Brisa Gestão de Infraestrutura is certified in the areas of Quality, Environment and Safety and Health at Work and is accredited for a wide range of construction materials tests and environmental tests.

To support inspection activity, BGI has two laboratories for quality control in the area of ​​construction materials: the central laboratory, located next to the Maia Operational Center on the A3 – Porto/Valença Motorway and, since October 2016, a laboratory mobile.

The mobile laboratory will monitor the different floor improvement contracts located in the south of the country, ensuring greater physical proximity to the works, which optimizes resources and speeds up customer response.

BGI laboratories have the following scope of technical activity:

• In-room or “in situ” tests, involving materials and work carried out in road construction and similar areas, such as soils, aggregates, binders and bituminous mixtures, concrete, grout and mortar;
• Ambient noise tests;
• Water tests, involving sample collection and “in situ” parameter determinations.

BGI's laboratories have the technical capacity to carry out more than 100 tests in the areas mentioned above, 40 of which are within the scope of accreditation by standard NP EN ISO/IEC 17025 (no. L0340-1), recognized by the Portuguese Institute of Accreditation – IPAC.

Guided by responsible action, in addition to the certification of its Quality Management Systems, Brisa Gestão de Infraestruturas continuously seeks to improve, not only the quality of the services it provides, but also its environmental performance.
