BGI's mission is the integrated and sustainable management of its customers' road infrastructures, with the objective of maximizing the performance of assets throughout their life cycle, optimizing their availability and cost, and guaranteeing, on the other hand, compliance , security and risk management.

Brisa Gestão de Infraestruturas continuously seeks improvement, innovation, and rigor in its activities, basing its operations on a certified Management System and being accredited to conduct construction material and environmental testing, aiming for customer and stakeholder satisfaction and the effectiveness of its Management System.

To support its inspection activities, BGI has laboratories for quality control in the area of ​​construction materials: a mobile laboratory, a laboratory in Loures, and a laboratory in Maia, located next to the Maia Operational Center on the A3 – Porto/Valença Highway, the latter being the only one integrated within the scope of accreditation.

The mobile laboratory accompanies various pavement improvement projects in the southern region of the country, ensuring greater proximity to the works, optimization of resources, and greater agility in responding to the client.

BGI's laboratories perform both room and in-situ tests in the areas of road construction and related fields, specifically on soils, aggregates, binders and bituminous mixtures, concrete, grouts and mortars, as well as ambient noise and water tests, including sample collection and in-situ parameter determinations.

The laboratories have the technical capacity to carry out more than 100 tests in the aforementioned areas, with the Maia laboratory ensuring 40 accredited tests under NP EN ISO/IEC 17025 (no. L0340-1), accreditation granted by the Portuguese Accreditation Institute (IPAC).
