Brisa Gestão de Infraestruturas

BGI is the Brisa Group company responsible for managing the group's assets (infrastructures)

BGI's mission is the integrated and sustainable management of its customers' road infrastructures, with the objective of maximizing the performance of assets throughout their life cycle, optimizing their availability and cost, and guaranteeing, on the other hand, compliance , security and risk management.

Certifications/Accreditation

Brisa Gestão de Infraestruturas is certified in two areas — Quality, Environment and Health and Safety — and is accredited for a wide range of construction material tests and environmental tests.
As a support to the inspection activity, BGI has two laboratories for quality control in the construction materials field: the central laboratory, located next to the Maia Operational Center on the A3 – Porto/Valença motorway and, since October 2016, a mobile laboratory.
The mobile laboratory will monitor the different pavement improvement works located in the south of Portugal, ensuring greater physical proximity to the works, which optimizes resources and speeds up the response to the customer.
BGI laboratories have the following scope of technical action:
• In-room or “in situ” tests, involving materials and work carried out in road construction and the like, such as soils, aggregates, binders and bituminous mixtures, concrete, grout and mortar;
• Environmental noise tests;
• Water tests, involving sampling and determination of parameters “in situ”.
BGI's laboratories have the technical capacity to carry out more than 100 tests in the above-mentioned areas, with 40 of these tests being within the scope of accreditation by the NP EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (n.º L0340-1), recognized by the Portuguese Accreditation Institute – IPAC.
