The Smart Lab - Aveiro
The Smart Lab - Aveiro, in collaboration with Via Verde Portugal and Horse Aveiro, aims to support start-ups and Portuguese SMEs that want to develop, test and experiment new digital products and/or services targeted at the automotive sector and mobility.
This project is based on two action pillars: the Digitalisation of Industry and New Mobility Concepts induced by digital technologies.

NextGen Mobility
Brisa leads the NextGen Mobility project, in collaboration with A-to-Be, the Aveiro Telecommunications Institute, ALTICE LABS and FI Group.
The project’s goal is to promote the development, testing and validation of mobility products and services and smart infrastructure.

GEMINI
This project aims to contribute to accelerating the process towards climate neutrality by increasing modal shift through the demonstration and acceptance of new shared mobility services, active modes of transport and micro-mobility, and their integration with public transport in new generation MaaS services.
GEMINI focuses on integrated mobility management around the Dragon Stadium. A-to-Be and Via Verde participate in a pilot project in the city of Porto, in collaboration with the Digital Porto Association.

C-Streets
This project aims to develop C-ITS pilots along 210 km of motorways, as part of the C-Roads project.
C-Streets is funded by the European Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). Its main goal is to demonstrate the continuity of co-operative services between vehicles and road infrastructure on interurban axes and the connections to the cities of Lisbon and Porto.

Road Safety
Funded by the European Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) and composed of a national consortium with several APCAP concession holders, this project aims to implement road safety improvement projects in the concession network.
The scope of the project includes safety works, such as upgrading road markings and resurfacing, road safety barriers, intersections, safety guards and horizontal and vertical signage, and reconfiguring junctions, as well as a road safety assessment programme and upgrading ITS platforms.

TANGENT
This project is funded by the European Horizon 2020 programme and coordinated by Deusto University, Spain. It aims to develop complementary tools to optimise traffic operations in a coordinated and dynamic manner, from a multimodal perspective, considering autonomous vehicles, passenger and freight transport.

MATIS
MATIS is a project to accelerate the use of ITS solutions for more sustainable, safe and resilient road transport networks and services across a vast European region from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean.
The project brings together a consortium of more than 30 public authorities and public and private road operators in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal, including Brisa Concessão Rodoviária (BCR), Brisa Gestão de Infraestruturas (BGI) and Brisa Operação e Manutenção (BOM).
